Þegar við hugsum um keramikverk, sjáum við fyrir okkur borðbúnað, vasa eða skúlptúra. En hvað með keramik húsgögn? Við gerð þessara verka þurfti ég að hugsa út fyrir mörk leirsins, það ófyrirsjáanlega og næmni leirsins. Eins þurfti ég að hugsa um styrkleika míns til að geta gert þessi verk. Verkin eru annaðhvort rennd eða þrýst í mót og síðan skeytt saman.

Ég sá fyrir mér hvernig við gætum nálgast hvort annað með lítið hliðarborð eða koll.

Allir hafa þörf fyrir nánd, við þurfum að tala saman. Við þurfum að nálgast hvort annað meira.

When we think about ceramic pieces, we expect to see tableware, vases or sculptures. But what about ceramic furnitures? When making these works, I had to think beyond the limits of the clay, the unpredictability and sensibility of the clay. I also had to think about my strengths to be able to do these works. The pieces are either throwed or pressed into a mold and then attached together.

I envisioned how we could approach to each other with a small side table or stool.

Everyone needs to socialize, we need to talk together. We need to get closer to each other.
